Pre festival Contests held on Dec. 12, 2010

The first set of pre-fest contests were held on Dec. 12, 2010 at the Nageswara Rao park, Luz.

Colour a T-shirt Design Contest

The open-to-all contest attracted the seniors as well as the young people. A sheet printed with an outline of a tradional peacock design created by artist V.V. Ramanee was handed over to the participants to work around and give it a colour.
About 40 people participated in the contest and a riot of colour ran through the Chess Square at Nageswara Rao Park.

Design a Souvenir Contest

The participants brought a variety of things that they thought would be made as souvenirs for the festival.
A dozen people participated in the contest.
Ranging from lanterns to hand fans, it was a presentation of colorful creative works by the young and the adults. They also faced on the spot questions on their presentations.
Artiste V.V. Ramanee was the judge.
